The Starks are Reunited!



The Starks are reunited! At least, in the latest edition of  Entertainment Weekly. EW released a total of five Game of Thrones covers and one is exclusive to Barnes and Noble (the whole group). You can also order individual copies or a bundle of all covers at https://backissues.ew.com/.

In the article, the showrunners have promised that season 7 will be fast-paced and action-packed. More so than any other season with some of our favorite characters finally sharing screen time. "Things are moving faster because in the world of these characters the war they they've been waiting for is upon them." (D.B. Weiss, executive showrunner).  Even with season 7 being only seven episodes instead of the usual 10, the producers have promised that fans will get plenty of content. There is at least one huge battle scene involving the dragons, which are now as big as 747s, an epic sea battle and a battle up north described as "a shark attack on dry land." Sounds pretty fun-filled and nail-biting to me and while we would think Cersei is shaking in her new crown, she is apparently prepared for the dragons... But is she prepared for the white walkers?

And as I've been predicting ever since last season's finale, while most of the shows episodes will remain around the same amount of time as in previous seasons, the season 7 finale will be super-sized.

I recently attended the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience in Atlanta, GA. I had attended the Lord of the Rings concert back in the mid 2000s and loved it and since I love music and all things Game of Thrones I was ready. And what an experience it was. The arena filled with smoke, swords clashed in the clouds changing from blue to red (ice and fire) and the Iron Throne appeared while that familiar song started to play. I was so in awe that I completely forgot to take a picture of the Iron Throne as it rose through the floor in the middle of the arena. Once I had the presence of mind to pull out my phone and take a picture, it vanished never to be seen again. :/ I did however, take pictures of other parts of the concert as well as some video, which I hope I don't get in trouble for, but I just couldn't help myself. Game of Thrones Season 7 Teaser Trailer - Rivals Take Their Seats

HBO released a season 7 teaser trailer for Game of Thrones today and what a tease it is. It looks as though Dany, Jon and Cersei will all be vying for the throne. Cersei is in Kings Landing of course where it looks like winter has finally come. Jon is at his seat in Winterfell (a seat he never thought he would hold). And it Dany has taken her temporary seat at Dragonstone since it's abandonment after the demise of Stannis Baratheon. It's a fitting visit on Dany's journey to possibly sitting on the Iron Throne as Dragonstone was the original seat of the Targaryen heirs who were next in line for the Iron Throne, including her brother Rhaegar who we may see in flashbacks during season 7. Ep 3.9 "The Rains of Castamere" (aka The Red Wedding)

SPOILER ALERT:  This is a recap of the episode, so if you haven’t watched it and don’t want to know what happens, exit now… Wow!  This is the episode that book readers have been awaiting and dreading.   From what I’ve seen   people have been keeping a tight lip on this surprising plot twist.  I'm one of those and did not want to spoil the bittersweetness that was to come.  I viewed a few comments after the show and it seems this may have been one of the only non-spoiled TV episodes of all time.  I'm sure one or two people out there accidentally saw something, but for the most part another war wasn't started because of this episode.  At least not outside of Westeros.   However, I will warn everyone to keep those spoiler shields up because with this show, you never know what could happen.
