HBO Releases 15 Game of Thrones Season 7 Photos

Image
HBO released 15 promo pics last week for Game of Thrones season 7. Fans of the show are analyzing and speculating on each and every one. Hopefully HBO will continue to drop footage and photos for us to obsess over while we wait for season 7 premiering 07.16.17. See the pictures below as well as theories I've seen so far... Jaime and Cersei It looks like Jaime is still planted firmly by his sister/lover's side (at least in public). I say that last part because Jaime became the Kingslayer for killing The Mad King Aerys Targaryen because he talked about doing the exact thing Cersei did, blowing up half of Kings Landing. (Technically, I think The Mad King wanted to blow up the entire city, but no need to nitpick). Nerdist just posted a new theory about the possibility of Jaime being the prophesied return of Azor Ahai and revealed a theory that perhaps Jaime and Cersei are only half Lannisters, being the children of Joanna Lannister and Aerys Targaryen. This rivals ...

My Crazy Game of Thrones Theory - Season 7 Teaser "The Long Walk"

I've had this crazy theory for a while, but after seeing this trailer yesterday and having the time to digest it I'm thinking more and more that it could be true. If you haven't seen the trailer yet here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/entertainmentweekly/videos/10154620448267734/ So, here it is. There are three Targaryens in Westeros. Dany of course, who has taken her families seat at Dragonstone until she can knock Cersei's butt off of that Iron Throne. Then there is Jon who has been confirmed as a "Stargaryen" (Stark and Targaryen, son of Prince Rhaegar and Lyanna Stark). Last, but not least that leaves Cersei. Wait, WTF?!? How can Cersei be a Lannister? This is how... In the books (and the show) Tywin Lannister was married to his cousin Joanna. This was the mother of Cersei, Jaime and Tyrion. Tywin Lannister and Aerys Targareyn (aka the Mad King) were best friends at one time and dirty old Aerys had a thing for Joanna. When Tywin and Joanna were ...

#musiciscoming - Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience

Image
I recently attended the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience in Atlanta, GA. I had attended the Lord of the Rings concert back in the mid 2000s and loved it and since I love music and all things Game of Thrones I was ready. And what an experience it was. The arena filled with smoke, swords clashed in the clouds changing from blue to red (ice and fire) and the Iron Throne appeared while that familiar song started to play. I was so in awe that I completely forgot to take a picture of the Iron Throne as it rose through the floor in the middle of the arena. Once I had the presence of mind to pull out my phone and take a picture, it vanished never to be seen again. :/ I did however, take pictures of other parts of the concert as well as some video, which I hope I don't get in trouble for, but I just couldn't help myself. I've also had The Rains of Castamere stuck in my head for days... A small price to pay for such a great experience. Ramin Djawadi, who ...

Game of Thrones Season 7 Teaser Trailer - Rivals Take Their Seats

HBO released a season 7 teaser trailer for Game of Thrones today and what a tease it is. It looks as though Dany, Jon and Cersei will all be vying for the throne. Cersei is in Kings Landing of course where it looks like winter has finally come. Jon is at his seat in Winterfell (a seat he never thought he would hold). And it Dany has taken her temporary seat at Dragonstone since it's abandonment after the demise of Stannis Baratheon. It's a fitting visit on Dany's journey to possibly sitting on the Iron Throne as Dragonstone was the original seat of the Targaryen heirs who were next in line for the Iron Throne, including her brother Rhaegar who we may see in flashbacks during season 7. If you haven't seen it yet the link is below. Only 3 1/2 more months to the season premiere on 07.16.17. I never thought I'd be so happy to see July! Also, some exciting news. I hope to launch a Game of Thrones podcast for season 7. I'm still working on the name so m...

Ep 610 “The Winds of Winter”

As the withdrawal starts to take effect and I realize it will be an agonizing nine months until a new episode of Game of Thrones airs, I think of how far this show has come and how the stakes are now higher than ever before. Through violence and murder (reminiscent of the Mad King) Cersei is sitting on the Iron Throne, Dany is on her way to Westeros and Jon is finally recognized as a Stark and named King in the North. There’s only one potential problem with the latter since it was finally confirmed (and I’ll get into this more later) that Jon is the son of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen and is in fact not Ned Stark’s bastard son! Oh yeah, a few other things happened as well… Such as, Sam and Gilly finally reaching Oldtown, showing us the Citadel. Maesters are pretty much the nerds of Westeros and that was proven to us as Sam and Gilly enter the tall white building where Sam hands the letter Jon gave him to a guy in a white robe with some funky reading glass...

Ep 609 “Battle of the Bastards”

The penultimate episode of the season is always a good one and this one didn’t disappoint. I don’t know how I’m alive and not a white walker because I think I held my breath the entire episode. Baby Rickon bit it, the Starks have taken back Winterfell and Ramsay is canine food! Arguably one of the most violent episodes yet, people were getting killed left and right. And not just in Winterfell. Mereen had some violent deaths as well. Mereen is getting hit on both sides. While boats are setting off burning catapults, poor souls outside the gates are getting slaughtered by the Sons of the Harpy. As they are being pounded, Dany asks for an explanation from Tyrion. He tells her he made a deal with the masters to make peace. Things happen though and not everyone is honorable to live up to their deals. The masters can’t let Mereen succeed because it will prove that slavery is an old practice that is no longer needed and the masters know that. Dany sees his point an...

Ep 608 “No One”

These past few episodes are definitely gearing us up for some big battles. Mereen is under fire, Riverrun now belongs to the Frey’s (ugh) and Sansa and Jon still don’t have enough men to fight the Boltons. Good news though, Arya is alive and hopefully staying that way. Speaking of Arya, it seems Lady Crane has taken her leverage over the head troupe guy and taken Arya’s advice. Her last monologue is full of emotions leaving the crowd completely engaged and some were even crying. Lady Crane goes backstage to relax after her final scene, but hears some movement in a closet. She checks it out and finds Arya wounded and bleeding. She stitches Arya up while answering the question of what happened to the younger actress that tried to have her killed. The girl won’t be getting another acting jobs anytime soon after what Lady Crane did to her face. (Ooh, a dark side. I like it.) She invites Arya to join the troupe and take over the roll of Sansa (lol) and travel to Pe...
